I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm - Lyrical Photoshoot

Hey everyone! Happy Holidays <3 I hope you all are doing well :)
I'm really excited about today's post. I love to do photoshoots out in the snow, even if it is a bit stressful, the cozy weather just feels even more magical this time of year.

I haven't actually done a lyrical photoshoot in quite some time now; it might have even been since last Christmas (Missed opportunity to do that song instead? XD)
I feel like at this point I've done so many different Christmas songs that I'm moving more into the 'winter songs that are basically Christmas songs but not actually Christmas songs' but hey! Everyone's definition of what counts as 'Christmas' or not is different, and that's totally okay! But seriously...Don't fight me about Die Hard. It is a Christmas movie, hands down.

Anywayyy. The song I selected this time is 'I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm.' As the title says! It felt fitting seeing as how this photoshoot was taken when it was snowing, and I've already done Let It Snow for a past photoshoot.
I chose the Dean Martin version, since it's my favorite one. But feel free to turn on whatever version floats your boat.

Below is the link to YT and I'll be pasting the lyrics, just in case you want to listen to the song while you read the post ;)

With all that being said I hope you enjoy this photoshoot!

(Intro)

The snow is snowing, and the wind it is blowing
But I can weather the storm

What do I care how much it may storm
'🎵'

I've got my love to keep me warm
'🎵'

I cannot remember a worse December
Just watch those icicles form
'🎵'

What do I care if icicles form
'🎵'

I've got my love to keep me warm
'🎵'

Off with my overcoat, off with my gloves
Who needs an overcoat, I'm burning with love

My heart's on fire, and the flame grows higher
So I will weather the storm

What do I care how much it may storm
'🎵'

I've got my love to keep me warm

(Jazz break)

I thought you oughta know
My heart's on fire

The flames they just leap higher
So I will weather the storm
'🎵'

What do I care how much it storms
'🎵'

I've got my love

'🎵'

 to keep me warm

'🎵'

I've got my love to keep me warm!

And those are all the photos I took! Ironically, before editing them I wasn't quite sure I would have enough to even really do a whole photoshoot, but now I'm glad I didn't take anymore, otherwise I think I would've had to pick and choose a few to not include. Which I would've probably done if it weren't for the fact that my hands were so cold it felt like my fingers were going to fall off.

Anyway, don't mind the huge amounts of snow on Sam, most notably in photo #3 (in her mouth, lol. Apparently, I didn't notice that until I went inside). She was having a hard time standing up, which is what prompted me to take the photos of them laying down, so I guess it's not so bad. And don't worry! I made sure to dry them off super well once I came back inside, and even stripped them out of their clothes, so no need to freak out. No silver eye here!

But regardless of small travesties, I think the photos turned out really well! Let me know what you think. And if you'd be interested in seeing more duo photoshoots. I don't do them very often, but it definitely forces me to be more creative with different poses.

Alright, I hope you all have an amazing rest of your day! And an even better holiday season <3
Be on the lookout for more posts coming soon (before Christmas) ;)

Love you! 💖

  1. These photos were super cute! Sam and Nellie are so cute together. It doesn't really snow where I live (It's 60° today!) so I'm jealous of everyone who can take cute snowy pictures! But I am planning on taking pictures in front of our Christmas tree.
I'm gonna have to say... for my favorite Christmas song, there's a Christmas song that has the Kool Aid Man in it. So definitely that one.

    1. Aw, thanks! I'm glad you liked them 😊

Gosh, that's very warm! I used to live somewhere with weather similar to that, and we never got snow during the holidays, so I get it. Plus! Christmas trees are just as good! If not better. I can't wait to see those pictures on your blog. I'm sure they'll be awesome 💖

I remember you commenting/posting about that song before (or maybe that was someone else?). Either way it sounds hilarious 😂

  2. This is so cute! I love their festive outfits! 🥰 My favourite pictures are probably 11 and 17, but it's so hard to pick! Funny to think that we live in the same state and you have a decent amount of snow while all I've had was sunny 50-degree weather all month... 😅 Snow and cold days which lead us to be all cozy inside certainly help to bring one into the Christmas Spirit ❄️🎄

    1. Thank you so much 🥰💖 I'm so glad you liked them!
Weather, especially here, is so random, isn't it? It could be snowy one minute and then all of a sudden the sun could come out and even still continue snowing 😅

    2. Exactly! Whenever someone asks me what the weather is going to be, I usually shrug and say, "We'll see."

  3. This photoshoot turned out really cute! I think duo photoshoots make things more interesting, so my vote is for you to do more!
I also am jealous of the snow. I don't live in a place that gets snow and I wish it would snow here! The dolls outfits were so cute!
