American Girl Old vs New

 Hi everyone! So today I am going to be comparing Old American Girl Dolls vs New American Girl Dolls. So lets get started!

First off, Samantha. So let's talk about the changes American Girl did to Samantha. First off, there outfits: The original Samantha is wearing a red and black plaid dress with a red belt, black tights, black shiny shoes, and a matching bow. But the new Samantha's outfit is quite different, the new Samantha is wearing a frilly pink dress with a red velvet belt, white tights, black shiny shoes, and a matching red bow. Some things about her outfit is the same, like the fact that they both have a red belt, and both have shiny black shoes. They also both have bows on there head but just in different colors. Next is there books: each doll comes with a book, the original Samantha comes with the first book in her series, on the front cover of the book Samantha is in front of her house carrying a bright red hat. Samantha's new book is the first book in her new series as well, on the front cover of the new book Samantha is swinging on a swing by a tree, in her new outfit of course, Now the books pretty much look the exact opposite of each other, cover and size. The original Samantha's book is quite tall and thin. The original American Girl books are much shorter than the newer ones. The New Samantha's book is shorter and thicker and quite a bit longer than the original. As far as there face differences they look pretty much the same. If I would have to pick which one I like better I would pick the New Samantha, even though The Old Samantha looks more realistic to the story and time period Now let's move on to the next American Girl doll.

Next we are going to be comparing the Old vs New Felicity Doll. Let's start by comparing there outfits, starting with the Old Felicity. The Old Felicity's Outfit has a cute purple striped long sleeved dress with flowers on it, a small white bow, and a black dress. Now for the New Felicity's Outfit: The New Felicity is wearing brown shoes with pretty gold buckles on the front, white tights, and a blue and yellow shiny dress. The Old Felicity vs The New Felicity have pretty much opposite outfits, I personal like the old Felicity much better than the new one, mostly just because I don't like the New Felicity's dress very much, also it is not very realistic for the story, were as the Old Felicity's dress fits with the story better. I will talk more about there similarities and differences later. Now we can move on to there books: Now The Old Felicity's book (like the Old Samantha's book) her book is much taller and thinner. The New Felicity's book is shorter and thicker and has a more modern picture on the cover. The older American Girl dolls' book covers have a drawing of the character on the front, were as the New American Girl dolls' book covers is a picture of girls' who look similar to the dolls. Now time for the there similarities and differences; Now unlike The Samantha dolls, the Felicity dolls have quite a few differences, The new Felicity doll's eyes are much a darker green color than the Old Felicity doll, and the New Felicity's eyebrows are much thicker and more realistic. That's all the differences I can think of for now. Now if I had to pick which doll I like better I would probably pick the Old Felicity, anyway let's move on to the next American Girl Doll.

Now for the final American Girl Doll. Let's start with The Old vs New Kit's outfit: The Old Kit is wearing white simple shoes, a purple flowered skirt, a purple sweater with matching shirt, and lastly a cute green clip. The New Kit is wearing a green and red collar dress, red shoes, and a red belt, and lastly a cute red hair clip. Now let's compare there books: Now the books are pretty much the same as the other ones, The Old Kit's book is tall and thin with a drawing of Kit on it. The New Kit's book is short and thick with a picture of a girl on it that looks like Kit. Now about there differences looks wise they pretty much look the exact same. I f I were to pick which doll I like better I would have to pick the Old Kit.
